More fantastic BMX racing action at Lilydale BMX club last weekend. It was also the biggest shoot of the series for us, with over 1500 photos in the Xenon Galleries. Check them all out by clicking here. A little sample of what you will find is below.

It was a big start today to the BMX racing action at the 2011 DT Bicycles Track Attack series. There is around 600 or so photos of the BMX racing action today in the Xenon Photography Galleries….check it all out by clicking here. A little sample of what you will find is below.
What a big weekend of BMX racing with everything from sub-tropical downpours to just enough sun for me to get sun burnt (never again will I forget to apply sunscreen when shooting). After all was said and done, we shot over 7500 pictures on the weekend of which almost half were on Sunday. And finally, after only one software meltdown, they are all sorted and uploaded into the Xenon Galleries.
For this event, the photos are sorted by the last number on a plate, so the galleries are called ‘Plates Ending With…’ (instead of ‘Plates Beginning with…’). So if your number was 19, look in ‘Plates Ending With 9′. If you were riding on plate 5V, look in ‘Plates Ending With 5′.

Some time ago, BMXV announced that Xenon Photography as the official photographer for the DK Bicycles 2010 Victorian Open States Championships. It is going to be a big weekend of racing and photography and Xenon plans on bringing the best action shots from the event.
As part of our newly expanded product range, which includes everything front standard prints to canvas and poster enlargements, we are also offering a commemmorative poster for this year’s event. You can get it in A1 and A2 sizes and it can include the rider’s name, class and plate number. A sample of the poster is below, but if you want to see an A1 version in the flesh then drop by the Xenon Photography stand at the event and check it out.

As of the Knox Thunderdome BMX event, Xenon Photography has moved to a new gallery software platform which has a new URL. The new gallery is at http://public.xenonphoto.com.au, so update any bookmarks you may have had. The galleries of pictures from previous events will also transition to the new gallery in the coming days with events from Frankston, Lilydale and Eastfield transitioning there so far.
The new software that runs the gallery will now enable me to have all of the events in one location rather than separating major events from the minor events, as well as add some of the other stock and art photography I shoot.
One of the big advantages of the new software is the shopping cart facility. It is a vast improvement over the previous facility offered. You can now see thumbnails of the picture in your cart and go back to the larger gallery preview from your shopping cart.
You can also purchase images through the new shopping cart system using methods other than credit cards and PayPal. so if you prefer to make a direct bank deposit or send a cheque by snail mail the options are now there. Just type in that you would like to use either bank deposit or cheque in the special instructions in your shopping cart and select the ‘Other Method’ button when you checkout. We will send you the instructions for that method when we receive the order.
Also, check out our new range of products. Now that we shoot with Canon 1D Mark IVs, the 16 mega-pixel ensures that even cropped images can be printed crisply to posters up to A1.

What a weekend of BMX racing at the Knox Thunderdome. I think I have around 3000 BMX shots (and few few of some freaks off the track) from the two days of racing to go through, so I though I would share a few of the cool ones from Saturday night before I sort them for the galleries.
Oh by the way, I have new gallery software that I am installing to make buying easier and even offer discounts when I am feeling nice. You’ll see it first with the Thunderdome galleries and all of the other galleries will transition over in the next few weeks (and of course BMXV State Champs pics when they come online).
